Levi Hotel Spa sits beside the Water World spa and a short walk from the slopes, so the skiers and the non-skiers in a family can each have their day. It is the easiest family base in Levi, with breakfast in the rate.

Levi Hotel Spa: family rooms beside the Water World spa, at the foot of the slopes
What it is and where it sits
The hotel is in Sirkka, the village everyone calls Levi, at the foot of the slopes, so you walk to the lifts in about five minutes carrying your own skis, and the village centre, with its restaurants and shops, is around the corner.
The complex is ten buildings arranged around a common courtyard, plus Design Hotel Levi, a 30-room wing that belongs to the same resort but has its own look. Most of the stock is family rooms for four and standard doubles or twins. The newest building, Ounas, holds the superior rooms and the junior suites.
Kittilä airport is about 15 km away. Finavia publishes the flight schedule for Kittilä, and the resort’s own site at levi.fi explains how to get from the airport to the village.
The rooms, compared
Room sizes here are Finnish-standard, which means efficient rather than generous. A 19 m² standard room sleeps one or two in double or twin beds, and that is all it needs to be. The family rooms are where the hotel earns its reputation, and the superior family rooms in Ounas were renovated in 2023.
| Room type | Size | Sleeps | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard room | 19 m² | 1 to 2 | Double or twin beds |
| Standard family | 21 to 25 m² | 2 adults + 2 children | The workhorse room of the hotel |
| Superior family | 29 m² | 2 adults + 2 to 3 children | Renovated in 2023, queen or king bed, space for extra beds |
| Junior Suite | 44 m² | 2 | In the newest building, Ounas |
| Sammal Suite | 64 m² | 2 adults + 2 children | The biggest room type |
| Design Hotel Levi Deluxe Double / Deluxe Family | 24 m² | 2, or 2 adults + 2 children | The 30-room design wing |
The jump worth paying for is standard family to superior family. Four to eight extra square metres and a 2023 refit is the difference between a room four people sleep in and a room four people can spend a snowed-in afternoon in. The junior suite is bigger again but sleeps two, so it is a couples or grandparents room, not a family upgrade.
Water World Levi: 17 pools and what they cost
The spa is the main reason to choose this hotel. levi.fi counts 17 pools. The hotel’s own list runs to a multi-purpose pool with massage stations, a water slide, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, an outdoor pool, an aqua-jogging pool, a warm-water pool, a cold pool, two walking pools (one cold, one hot), two children’s pools and a fitness pool with a 20 m swimming lane. On the sauna side there are Finnish saunas, a kelo (standing dead pine) sauna, a salt sauna and steam saunas. The Ailu Family Fun area is the children’s end of the building.
Water World is open daily from 12:00 to 20:00, with last admission at 19:00. That is worth planning around: the pools are not a 7am swim before the lifts, they are an afternoon and evening thing, which fits the short daylight anyway.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Adult entry | 25€ |
| Child aged 4 to 14 | 17€ |
| Under 4 | Free |
Prices are for the 2026-27 season and change annually, so check operator websites for current rates.
Does your room rate include the spa?
This is the question that catches people out, because the answer is sometimes. The hotel sells some room rates with Water World entry bundled in and some without. On the late-November dates a family twin sold with spa access was 261€ a night against 234€ without, so the bundle cost 27€ a night where two adults paying at the door would spend 50€ a day.
So check the rate description before you confirm, not after. The rate that looks dearer can be the cheaper booking once two adults and two children are walking into the pools every afternoon.
What a night includes
Breakfast is included in all room rates, and it is a generous buffet. On a ski day that matters more than it sounds, because it removes one meal from the budget and gets you to the lifts fed.
Eating and the rest of the complex
Three restaurants sit inside the resort: Ahku Buffet, Classic Pizza Restaurant and Restaurant Kekäle, which cooks over an open charcoal grill. There is also a karaoke bar, a sports bar with bowling lanes, a fitness centre and children’s play areas. Finnish karaoke is a genuine cultural experience, performed with total sincerity and no irony whatsoever, and you should stay for at least two songs.
You are not trapped in the building, though, and that is the point of this location. The village centre is a walk around the corner, so if the pizza queue is 40 minutes deep after a snowy Saturday, you go somewhere else.
What it actually costs
A family twin room for two adults was 234€ a night on 20 to 23 November 2026, a standard triple 252€ and a junior suite 268€, breakfast included. With Water World entry bundled in, the family twin was 261€.
Rates are Booking.com prices per night for two adults, checked at the end of September 2026. Prices are for the 2026-27 season and change annually, so check current rates for your dates.
December to March was not on sale, so ask the hotel for those dates and do not budget the winter on the November rate.
Practical warnings before you book
The size cuts both ways. Two hundred-odd rooms means a busy breakfast room and busy pools, above all in the Finnish school-holiday weeks. If your idea of a spa involves whispering, book a different building.
The stock is also mixed in age. Ounas, the newest building, holds the superior rooms, including the superior family rooms renovated in 2023, and the junior suites, so if the age of the room matters to you, book one of those.
Finnish school holidays are the other thing to plan around. Christmas and the February and March hiihtoloma (the Finnish schools’ ski holiday weeks) fill the family rooms, and Finnish families book them a year ahead.

Levi Hotel Spa: family rooms beside the Water World spa, at the foot of the slopes
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
It suits families where not everyone skis, spa-first trips where the pools are the holiday rather than a bonus, and anyone who wants the slopes, the spa and the village all reachable on foot in boots. It also suits first-time Lapland visitors who would rather not rent a car, because everything is walkable from the door.
It does not suit couples looking for quiet, anyone who wants an aurora visible from the pillow, or people who want to self-cater to keep food costs down. It is also not ski-in ski-out: five minutes on foot is short, but it is not the same as clicking out of your bindings at reception.
Compare the alternatives named above
- Hotel Levi Panorama: ski-in ski-out rooms on top of the Levi fell
- Levin Iglut: premium glass igloos above Levi
- Northern Lights Village Levi: glass-roofed aurora cabins in Levi
Alternatives in Levi
Hotel Levi Panorama sits on the fell top with ski-in ski-out access and views over the tunturi, and is the direct swap if skiing, not swimming, is the point of the trip. For a glass roof and a realistic aurora chance you look outside the village, at Levin Iglut or Northern Lights Village Levi. For self-catering with a family, a cabin will beat any hotel on price per bed, at the cost of the walk to everything and the daily dishes.
When to book
For Christmas week and the Finnish ski holiday weeks in February and March, book as early as you can, a year ahead for the ski holidays, and ask the hotel directly.
Whenever you book, check two things on the rate line: whether Water World entry is included, and whether the room is a superior room or junior suite in Ounas, the newest building.
How I researched this
Property facts, room sizes, spa contents, opening hours and the price list come from levihotelspa.fi and levi.fi, read in September 2026. Nightly rates are Booking.com rates as shown on Google Hotels on 30 September 2026 for the November dates named above, two adults. Nobody from Lapland Trip Planner has stayed here; the verdict is a researched comparison, not a review.
Common questions
How much does Water World Levi cost?
Adult entry is 25€, children aged 4 to 14 pay 17€ and under-4s go free.
Is spa entry included in the hotel room rate?
Not automatically. Some room rates are sold with Water World entry bundled in and some are not. Check the rate description before confirming, because entry at the door is 25€ per adult per day.
How much is a night at Levi Hotel Spa?
A family twin room for two adults was 234€ a night on 20 to 23 November 2026 and a junior suite 268€, breakfast included, on booking-platform rates checked at the end of September 2026. December to March was not on sale, so ask the hotel for those dates.
How far is the hotel from the slopes and the airport?
The hotel stands at the foot of the slopes, roughly a five-minute walk from the Levi ski resort lifts, with the village centre around the corner. Kittilä airport is around 15 km away.
Is Levi Hotel Spa good for families?
It is the strongest family base in Levi, mostly because of the 17-pool spa, the family rooms for four, the bowling and the included breakfast. The trade-off is scale: expect busy pools and a full breakfast room during Finnish school holiday weeks.
Best Booking Resources for Lapland
These are the booking tools I keep coming back to. They consistently offer the best prices, the most relevant options for northern Finland, and actually work well for Lapland-specific searches, which not all platforms do.
- Kiwi.com: The best source for finding flights and airport connections. I have noticed they find flight connections that other search engines miss.
- Booking.com: I almost always use them for booking hotels and apartments (and occasionally flights). They have the best filters and I like the user-friendly interface.
- Hotels.com: The most popular hotel booking platform in many countries, US included.
- Get Your Guide: A massive selection of tours and excursions, including aurora tours, husky rides, reindeer experiences and more!
- EconomyBookings: Want to explore Lapland or chase auroras yourself? They pool together the best offers from car rental operators for your convenience.
- yesim: Need a local SIM for Lapland? A stress-free holiday nowadays (unfortunately) might start from a good connection, so get an eSIM with unlimited or prepaid data.
- Ekta Traveling: Not interested in checking out the Finnish public health care system on your holiday? Didn’t think so 🙂 Good insurance gets that stress out of the way.
